FERAL CATS & TNR

Cats are domestic by nature, but without human contact, the offspring of an abandoned pet will quickly revert to a wild or untamed state known as feral.

Feral cats live in family groups, or colonies, near places where food and shelter can be found. They live three to five harsh years, on average, before succumbing to illness, starvation, injuries or cruelty. During that time, they reproduce and the colony grows.

RELEASE

The most effective and humane way to break this tragic cycle is to Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) the adult cats in the colony, and to alter and domesticate as many kittens as possible.

TEAM advocates TNR and feral cats are welcomed aboard the TEAM Mobile Feline Spay/Neuter Clinic.

SAFE & HUMANE

TEAM has humane traps available for a refundable deposit and those who
bring a feral cat to TEAM for spay/neuter may be eligible for a rebate
through the TEAM Incentive Program (TIP).
